Canadian oak gives this weird coconut nuance to the wines it's used with (Chardonnay especially). This one has it plus a whole whack of other great nuances: mineral, crisp Mac apple and Granny Smith - the fruit stays somewhat on the lean-side but might materialize with age; but the best part of this wine is the acidity-minerality punch, which brings a real freshness and an almost Chablis-esque like note to the wine.  Price: $22.95 - Rating: ****
