This is a lovely Chardonnay based wine - maybe one of the best I have tried from this winery (next to last year’s very admirable Vidal). A very weighty 14.5% alcohol which gives the wine quite a bit of texture - but the Gewurztraminer and Riesling also bring some nice character to the party including acidity, vanilla, smoke, baked apple, peach and floral - this is a seriously tasty wine.  Price: $25.00 - Rating: *** ½+
