There's a juicy character here on the finish, but you need to get through the butterscotch, buttery, oaky and dried apricot notes to get to it; this is a Chardonnay style not often associated with Ontario Chardonnay (it’s more Californian in nature) – I can also tell you that “Captain Chardonnay [on Instagram] does not approve” – I will hesitantly give it my rating, but if looking for more authentic versions of Ontario Chardonnay look elsewhere. Price: $15.95 - Rating: ***
