Makes sense to make Malbec in Ontario in 2016, if you can grow it that is: herbal, cassis, cranberry, sour cherry, meaty and smoky – it’s like Pinot Noir meets Syrah with good acid backbone. Not everyone’s cup of Malbec, nor what many would think of as “Malbec” but it certainly is worth a try. Only 60 cases produced.  Price: $45.00 – Rating: ***+
