Might be one of the best estate Pinot Noirs from Henry of Pelham in some time, because this one hits all the right notes from beginning to end: a juicy core of wild cherry, black cherry and even some coffee bean. The acidity nails it, grabbing freshness so the wine does not weigh you down (but then it's Pinot Noir, it should be light). This is a playful Pinot with lots going for it ... The nose is a little shy, but the palate really sells it. Plus there's a long finish, and that's always a bonus.  Priced $24.95 – Rating: ****
