Norman's County version of Pinot is getting better with every vintage, that's because the vines are getting older, the roots are going deeper and the fruit is developing the character of the terroir in which it finds itself. This Pinot has a subtlety of nose but flavour reigns supreme on the palate where cherry, cranberry and spice take over. 10 months in 40% new French oak has given the wine some backbone, but with 60% aged in older barrels there's also a delicacy to the wine, showing off a more feminine side. Best of all, the length goes on for what seems like forever. Price: $35.00 - Rating: ****
