(April 7, 2019) ... If memory serves the reason I got this wine in the first place is because seeing a single variety Cabernet Franc outside of the Loire (or Ontario) is a rarity and curiosity got the better of me ... and now it's to find out how it has aged ... the answer: quite well.
The aromas are quite alluring right off the hop: mint, black cherry, vanilla, even some white pepper, mocha and cassis join the fray ... the palate was also quite interesting if not less giving with its notes of mocha, black cherry, tobacco and spice - it had a great mouthfeel that proved to be a little dusty on the finish, which increased the more it sat open.
